Important Advisory:
We are now requiring companies to provide us with documentation that their products have been tested by an independent lab for phthalates and lead.
Please click here for submission requirements for new products. However, as we are not a lab, we will not be independently verifying those
results. Also, with the exception of the 2008 Platinum Toy Awards, toys
submitted for review prior to January 2008 were not tested for lead.

Slumber Parties 2006 |
| |
Here are some tips:
- Selecting activities for such parties can be tricky. If you have older kids and there are video games in your house, the reality is that they will probably eat and plug in. We've given some games that may entice even the most avid gamers.
- Hands down our tween girl testers say that their favorite activities are "spa" treatments-manicures and pedicures being top on the list. Bring home some fun colors for this activity and pair them with some of the bead kits on our list for a full spa/jewelry night.
- Movies also rated high on the list for both boys and girls. Bring home new release such as Harry Potter or Chronicles of Narnia or try our all time favorite, The Princess Bride (good for both boys and girls). For tweens you can also show them the original King Kong versus the recent remake.
- In order to maintain harmony, try to keep the numbers down so that you don't end up with a child that singled out as the "it" kid.
Having some structured activity also helps move the evening along.
If your bringing home a craft kit, make sure everyone has the same materials to avoid jealousy over the "best" pieces.
- Games are also a good choice for groups. We've recommended a couple that work especially well with groups.
- If you're so inclined you can also create a themed party. For example, many of the craft kits below would lend themselves to an Asian themed party with your choice of appropriate food.
