We’ve just found a better-than-average toy microscope! It has five blank slides and four prepared slides with salt, pollen, and a smear from a mouth, and paramecium. Also included: stains, blue and red tweezers, plastic dropper, 1 concave slide for wet stuff, a cover, and a Petri dish, and other goodies. The optics are above average with “duo” light sources, allowing this microscope to magnify both slides and solid objects like a bug or coin or plants. It has 3 lenses: 4, 10 and 40X. The kit also includes a Petri dish, instructions and manual ad experiment guide. 9 & up
