Last year we showed you the Q-Ba Maze Extreme with tubes and rails and a separate Starter Set with lights that could be added to the fun. Now the Q-Ba-Maze Colossal Set combines lights, tubes and stunt pieces in a huge 270-piece set that is going to inspire fantastic constructions. Like all Q-Ba-Mazes, this is an open-ended construction set to challenge their creative thinking, predicting outcomes, problem solving and eye-hand skills. It’s a STEM toy— or hands-on physics. Stunt kits and marble catchers add zippy action to the fun. It comes with 40 steel marbles, 194 cubes, 18 rails, 9 stunt pieces, 4 coaster tubes, and 8 marble catchers. Note: small marbles need to be used out of reach of younger siblings who still mouth their toys. Marked for 6 and up, but we still believe this is a better choice for slightly older kids (and their parents). For starters, most kids will need adults to participate in getting it together.
