Casting with plaster has always been a favorite craft for school aged kids. The trick is about getting the things you cast out of the molds. In this case kids cast the letters of the alphabet and then sand and paint them to make three dimensional signs. Making the letters will call for supervision to be sure the casting material doesn’t end up in your sink or on your floor.
