VTech Star Wars First Order Stormtrooper Smartwatch with Camera
(Vtech $69.99)
This is a pretty remarkable watch that has a lot more than a clock face or camera on board. You can set the face with digital or analog time, so for kids who are still learning to tell time, this is a plus. Unlike your grandfather's Mickey Mouse watch, kids can choose from more than 25 Star Wars themed watch face designs. There’s a stop watch for timing a race and an alarm for wake-up calls or reminders. Kids can take photos of others, selfies, and videos that can be uploaded to the computer. There are three games that come loaded on the watch and more can be added. But, that’s not all: the watch has a voice changer, a calculator, and a pedometer that counts steps
(but not miles). The touch screen is really responsive and makes it easier for kids to operate. Of course, your child will need help getting the phone set up and learning how to change screens. This is a big watch and is not meant for little preschooler wrists. In fact, although it's marked for 5-12, we'd say this is a lot of watch for 5s, 6s, or even 7s. We suggest with the Star Wars theme, it's a better choice for 8's and up.
