This is less instantaneous than many craft kits—a good thing. Kids actually have to wait and let things dry before moving on from one application to the next. 3D Sand Painting comes with several pre-made images to decorate and a few blank boards that young artists can move onto, once they get the idea of how the technique works. In addition to the painting boards, it includes a small set of watercolors for painting the background and plenty of sand paint plus three tools for creating outlines and 3D effects. An good way to introduce sand painting techniques. 6 & up
