Hasbro Disney Mighty Roar Simba
(Hasbro $99.99)
Here’s a lovable Simba, looking more like a little playful lion with big eyes, soft fur, short legs, and a playful way. Like all the Fur Real interactive animals, Simba is loaded with motions and interactions to engage the imagination. This lion cub has more than 100 ways to move and is activated by touch and talk.. Kids will laugh they have a roaring contest with Simba. He wags his tail, shakes his head, crouches down and stands up tall. All the while, he is a totally lovable pet. We usually avoid talking moving dolls in favor of soft huggables that say whatever the child imagines. But, we have to say, this is one novelty toy that may have a longer play life than most.
SNAP: Interactive play with this little lion is magical and responsive. There's a sense of empowerment and motivation to being able to command with a touch of a hand or sound of your voice. There's also a fair amount of memory involved in learning the ways to put SImba through his paces. True, it's a pricey novelty item, but may be a memorable one.
