Give fine motor skills a workout with this clever stacking game that calls for stacking the twelve oddly shaped blocks (each has several cubes joined together). Place your block on the tight grid and then add a tiny black balancing block somewhere on the block. Fingers crossed—it the stack doesn’t fall over, you win a numbered scoring tile for the number of connected cubes your block contained. But, hold on! Be sure your block isn’t over the edge or covering the center of the grid. Now the next player goes but, watch out! The next block cannot be placed over any black balancing blocks or the center space. Continue taking turns and collecting numbered tiles until the tower falls or all blocks are played. Winner is last one standing or player with the highest points on numbered tiles. Players need dexterity, strategy, patience and a sense of humor for this clever game. Marked 8 and up. We’d say the sweet spot is more like 10 and 11.
