Press the purple head on the middle section and the balls pop and spin inside the see thru dome. Turn the bright red hands and they give a ratchety clicking sound. Now on to the lower third, the part that rolls. But that is not all— push the buttons to activate the lights and songs. We could have done without the alphabet, numbers and shape names for babies that are not even talking, but they will just become part of the background. A perfect first birthday gift.
