It's a really lovely stacker with nine wooden flower-shaped pieces that sit on top of the larger red flower base. Each piece is smooth and well made. The rainbow of colors is vibrant and give you an opportunity to talk about colors as you play with the toy. So many stackers these days are done in muted colors to go with room decor -- but miss the point that kids need to learn basic colors like green, yellow and blue before they're schooled in variations in muted greens. The center post is small and the holes on the pieces are all the same -- so no requirement to put the pieces on in size order.
