We were excited to find a new line of dolls that are available in various ethnicities—children of color, Asian, Caucasian, Latinas; they reflect not only our diversity but children with special needs. They are also anatomically correct! The company has created a wonderful collection. There are dolls with glasses, hearing aides, and several with Down Syndrome. The dolls are 15" and wear doll clothes for that size. Each comes in a gift box wearing underwear only. But shopping for outfits can be another part of the gift. We know how important it is for children to see themselves in their playthings and dolls like these are filling what has long been missing. They are hard bodied and can be washed off, though not designed for tub or long soaking. They will take on water if they are soaked and that will be hard to remove.
